The Art of Persuasion: A Project-Based Learning Activity
Limited Capacity seats available

“How can we use graphic design to inspire change?” Award-winning PBL educator, Rose Moe (Lincoln Middle School), will lead participants in a collaborative activity to design digital poster art about an issue that is important to them. Teachers will: explore how Gold Standard PBL incorporates academic and social justice standards and how to include the four equity levers (Knowledge of Students, Cognitive Demand, Literacy, and Shared Power) in lesson designs. Participants will also learn how to use graphic design principles to craft a compelling message. Finally, teachers will develop greater empathy for the learner experience to enable them to facilitate project-based learning activities. This session is ideal for elementary and secondary teachers. Participants will emerge with a PBL activity they can use in their classrooms.
